Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell's work in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She co-hosted both Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
